The finishing works in construction present a complex of building works linked to the external and internal finishing of buildings and facilities aiming to enhance their exploitation and aesthetic qualities. Finishing works are the final stage of the construction, and the overall estimate of the building or facility to be put into operation largely depends on the quality of these works.

There are two common types of finishing works: external and internal.

External finishing works aim to both refine the building façade and provide a finishing coating to protect the facility against external factors and prevent the penetration of these factors into the premises. These include any works implemented on the outside of the building like plastering, cladding, or painting works.

Cladding is one of the most labor-intensive external finishing works; it is meant to cover the front surfaces of the constructions with natural or artificial material pieces.

Internal finishing works comprise a complex of measures, types of finishing materials to improve the internal premises. They are intended to provide additional protection from external factors and the decoration of the premises.

Internal finishing works include the following types of work:
