“WAELCON” company specializes in the production of ready-mixed concrete both in Yerevan and in the regions. It has 2 operating factories, one of them a mobile one, with full automation and production control.
Given the continuous and large volume of production, this allows to deliver products to short distances within the shortest possible terms, minimizing costs and obtaining competitive pricing.
The technology of concrete production involves mixing water, cement, and fillers like sand or rubble and, in some cases, various chemical additives. There is no single technology for concrete manufacturing since in each individual case the properties of the end product must be based on environmental conditions and requirements for concrete durability and harshness.
The composition of the concrete mix:
Coarse filler: gravel (natural fragments of rocks, smooth, oval-shaped) and rubble (the product of artificially crushed stone).
Fine filler: sand. It should be noted that the origin of sand can vary, and in each case, it is an absolutely different construction material.
Water. In the production of concrete, if possible, water is purified from chemical impurities (sulfates, acids, fats, etc.).
Cement. Its function is to bind the fillers particles together. The higher the binding property of the cement, the better the solution will be.
Additives: plasticizers, hydrophobisator, etc.

- The concrete plant comprises an express laboratory, which allows to control the quality of mixtures and solutions, select the formulation in accordance with the customer’s requirements, construction conditions, and local climate.
Production technology:
The exact proportion of all components required to be loaded into a concrete mixer to obtain an optimal quality product is compiled and approved in the laboratory. The components are being mixed with water for a long period of time, following which the concrete mixture reaches absolute homogeneity. If the mixture is not produced on the construction site, the product should be delivered to the destination, preventing the segregation of the composition. To this end, special machines – concrete mixing trucks, are used.
The concrete prepared in this way is picked-up by the recipient. In order to avoid the segregation of the mixture during transportation and loss of properties, the ready-mixed concrete must be delivered by a special vehicle that performs the mixing, preventing freezing of the mixture in cold weather and loss of moisture at high temperatures.
